MIMIC currently simulates up to 100,000 device agents in one box. Any number of MIMIC boxes can be managed from one console, allowing unlimited scalability of the simulation.
CA Unicenter TNG auto-discovered a simulated network with 6 subnets, with about 20 machines on each subnet. The 2-D and 3-D maps clearly show the topology of the network.
The following HP OpenView NNM map shows a simulation with 5 Cisco Catalyst 5000 switches each on its own subnet, and 19 Microsoft Windows NT machines on each subnet.
Network Node Manager advanced edition with extended topology discovery shows this complicated network topology of one of our simulated networks
The same network discovered with CA SPECTRUM
Here is a map displayed by Asant IntraSpection showing one segment containing a Cisco switch, an Ascend router, a couple of Cabletron switches, 10 HP/UX workstations, 10 Windows NT PCs and 10 Linux machines.

Here is a VLAN simulation of 10+ switches displayed by CiscoWorks for Switched Internets, Network Node Manager advanced edition , HP Network Node Manager i and CA Technologies' Spectrum Infrastructure Manager .
Here is a MPLS simulation of 8 JUNOS routers displayed by CA Spectrum
At Interop, Atlanta we recorded the InteropNet backbone. This extremely heterogenous network is shown here using several applications.
